We are present at our facilities on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm. However, we are available to help individuals at anytime. We have an answering machine for those times we are not in our office.
Operation Concern Ministries, Inc. is a unique non-profit organization founded upon Biblical principles where its members incorporate their skills, abilities and time to raise funds to support the needy.
It is an outreach collaboration that assists those who have special needs whether emotional, spiritual, or physical.
OCM is a network consortium of volunteers who provide effective initiatives that empower, strengthen, and re-vitalize elderly persons, the homeless, and deteriorating communities.
The employment of OCM's consortium helps lessen the burden of government, offers relief to the distressed and promotes the concept of the extended family by building fortified neighborhoods and communities.
Plans are underway to build a facility for battered women and children.
Feeding the Hungry
OCM shares in the communities' responsibility to the homeless. Periodically and during the holiday season, OCM provides meals and personal supplies to the homeless. Transportation is provided so that the less fortunate may attend church services and special programs.
Assisting the Elderly
OCM provides an established network of volunteers that offers their time, talent and skills to elderly persons that will enable them to maintain a self sufficient lifestyle and reduce dependency on costly "out of home" services.
Bessie Mae Barnes Scholarship Foundation
The Bessie M. Barnes scholarship is awarded to college bound students who display leadership qualities, who are involved in community service projects, who have unique endeavors and possess creative abilities. OCM is proud to sponsor this scholarship in her honor.
